Broadcloth 1

Made of cotton, silk or rayon, broadcloth is a twilled, napped fabric with a smooth, lustrous face and dense texture. It is closely woven silk, cotton or synthetic fabric with a narrow crosswise rib. It’s said that broadcloth got its name from the fabric’s original great breadth of two yards—requiring two weavers, side-by-side—to produce it. Care depends on the fibers used to make the broadcloth.
